Learning to drive in Prestatyn

Prestatyn is where the school started and it remains one of our busiest areas. The town suits learners well because it puts three quite different kinds of driving within a few minutes of each other: the flat coastal roads to the north, the town centre and High Street, and the steep climbs on the hillside heading south towards Meliden and Dyserth.

That hillside matters more than people expect. Hill starts and downhill control are far easier to build confidence with when you can practise them locally and often rather than on a single lesson before your test.

Rhyl test centre is a short drive west along the coast, so Prestatyn pupils get regular time on the roads around the test centre as their test approaches.
